  • Rubber spatula
  • Butter knife (for swirling)
  • Cooling rack
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • For the Bread:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk warmed
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Cinnamon Swirl:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Optional Toppings:
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 –3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Prepare Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

  • Layer the Batter: Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture, and swirl with a butter knife. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon mixture.
  • Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Glaze: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with the optional glaze before serving.
